The Chevy Suburban has been out for a long, long time. So, it makes sense that there have been many different trim levels and configurations that have come and gone throughout its impressive history. It boasts a solid placement in our history as one important vehicle.During the end of 1941, the Chevy Suburban was heavily relied on by the military to carry service people and supplies when war broke out. 1960 models saw a major facelift, borrowing the eccentric and exciting styles of the ’50s. This generation saw an increase in size, visibility, and capability from earlier models. The 1996 Vortec 5.7L engine wowed the automotive industry by providing the Chevy Suburban with 290 horsepower. Current gen models only up the ante from there.
